Operations Technician Assistant - Hong Kong

The role: Operations Technician Assistant

As an Operations Technician Assistant (OTA) you will work alongside Operations Technicians in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, networking equipment, cabling. This can sometimes be a physically demanding job. OTA will also expand their basic knowledge and experience working computers and related equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Fix broken servers (replace hard drives, replace bad sticks of RAM, etc.).
• Crimp and run datacenter cabling.
• Learn and apply diagnostic methods to troubleshoot datacenter equipment.
• Physically move and rack equipment.

Requirements:

• BS or BA in technical related field preferred.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Work independently or as part of a team, and ensure tasks are completed correctly and quickly.
• Safely lift and move at least 50lbs.
• High level of written and oral fluency in English and Cantonese. Mandarin is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of and hands on experience with computer hardware.
